  • 1986 Associate professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University.

横山 禎徳

YOSHINORI YOKOYAMA

Social System Designer

Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration, Hiroshima University. Outside Director of ORIX, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. He is responsible for planning and promoting the University of Tokyo Executive Management Program (EMP). Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from Hiroshima University High School, he graduated from the University of Tokyo Department of Architecture, Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Graduate School of Management.

After working for Kunio Maekawa & Associates and Davis Brody & Associates, he joined McKinsey & Company in 1975, and served as Director of McKinsey & Company in 1987 and as General Manager of McKinsey & Company’s Tokyo office in 1989 before retiring from McKinsey & Company in June 2002. After that, he served as a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI), a part-time auditor at the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan (IRCJ), and a visiting professor at the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (GSIR), Hitotsubashi University, before assuming his current position.
