Dr. Yamada, CMO, Gave an Invited Lecture at Rare Sugar Congress 2023
Our Director and CMO Yamada was invited to the Rare Sugar Congress 2023 held in Takamatsu City from March 31st to April 2nd, 2023, and served as chairman of the medical session and as a judge, and gave a lecture. The Congress is an international conference held once every three years by The International Symposium of International Society of Rare Sugars.
Lecture title: L-glucose: Another Path for Cancer Cells
Abstract: Details of molecular mechanisms by which cancer cells selectively intake L-glucose and ORBIO molecules (2-NBDLG, CLG) into cells were reported. The unique properties of L-glucose and ORBIO molecules attracted attention during the three days of lively international discussions on the various functions of rare sugars that are rare in nature.
